Why have regular hygiene appointments?

A hygienist is specially trained in scaling and cleaning and is able to spend more time with you, over several appointments when necessary, to get your oral health back on track. Once any necessary dental work has been completed, we recommend regular hygienist appointments to maintain good oral health and to prevent further problems such as cavities and gum disease from occurring in the future

At Foxbury Dental, patients are able to visit our hygienist without first having to see the dentist. It allows our hygienist the freedom to perform all of the tasks contained within their scope of capability, thus fulfilling a larger role within the clinic. A full list of treatments offered by the hygienist is available at our dental practice.

What our patients say

First hygienist appointment with Lauren today, she explained everything so well and did a cracking job cleaning my teeth!

George was also really lovely, asking me if I was ok during the appointment.

Sarah Cooper

A pristine new practice with very welcoming and professional staff. Excellent service from the initial consultation, to the treatment and finally the hygienist. Thank you

Cherise the hygienist was delightful and paid every attention to giving me information that would help me achieve better dental hygiene. The scale and polish was pain free and left my teeth looking and feeling much better. So glad I made the decision to go.
